Interview Coaching Tips
- Arriving Unprepared – Sounds obvious!! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!!
- Talking Negatively About Past Employers – don’t do it, not a good look!!
- Lying or Exaggerating – you will be caught out! Focus on selling skills, experience, and achievements you have, rather that lying!!
- Asking About Salary or Holidays – Mostly wait for the employer to bring up these issues. NB: There are a few exceptions!
- Asking Silly Questions – ONLY ask real or meaningful questions. DON’T ask questions for the sake of it, especially if you found them via Chat GPT or Google
- Not Selling Yourself – This is the biggest issue I see. Interviewees NOT selling themselves. This really comes back to point 1, preparation!!
- Forgetting to Follow Up – This show interest, could tip the balance in your favour!!
